Page House Hits the Slopes

Just a few weeks ago, Page House left campus for Mammoth Lakes for our annual Ski Trip. Each year, many of the houses at Caltech, including ours, participate in this tradition, renting cabins to enjoy a snowy wonderland away from the Pasadena sun. For the past two years, the Ski Trip has remained my favorite.

Coming from Florida, I am always amazed to see snow and never want to go inside during the trip. I typically opt for brunch with friends, then sled near the cabins or hang out outside in the nice, colder weather.

When I was accepted to Caltech, I scoured everything on the internet about this school. One thing I repeatedly came across was mentions of house ski trips, and I tried desperately to find pictures of them (I’m a picture person, haha). So, if this is you too, you’re in luck because I am going to share a bunch of pictures and experiences from myself and fellow Pageboys!

Overall, the house ski trips are one of the things I was most excited about when I committed to Caltech and they have not disappointed. I think they are a fun way to spend a weekend away from Caltech and they serve as a great trip to try to relax (and procrastinate work).

Hi! I’m Ria, a senior in Page House from Gainesville, Florida. I am majoring in Computation and Neural Systems & Business, Economics, and Management. On campus, I am part of the Society of Women Engineers, Poker Club, Caltech Data Science Organization, and am in training to be a Health Advocate. In my free time, I love hanging out with friends, hiking, photography, exploring LA and Pasadena, and trying out new food spots!
